About Peckingfood Wild Bird Foods
Peckingfood is an independent, family-run, Great British business dedicated to supplying superior wild bird food without compromising on quality, service or our environmental responsibilities. We supply wild bird seed mixes, straight foods and bird feeding accessories nationally throughout the UK, as well as locally from our refill shop. To this day our process is very similar to how we first started out – made by hand and in small batches to guarantee a quality product we are proud of and that cannot be matched by mass-produced suppliers.
Quality Without Compromise
Every Peckingfood mix is made to order in small batches and finished by hand – never mass-produced or left sitting in a warehouse for months. Our mixes are built on a sunflower-heart and kibbled-peanut base, and we leave out the whole wheat and cheap fillers that so often get thrown out and wasted. The result is clean, dust-extracted food that birds actually eat, so more of what you buy ends up feeding the wildlife in your garden rather than going to waste.
Mix Your Own
Not every garden attracts the same birds, so a single mix for everyone was never going to work. That’s why we created our Mix Your Own service – you choose the ingredients to suit the birds that visit you, and we blend it to order by hand. It’s a simple way to get a seed mix tailored to your garden, and it’s something that continues to set us apart from other wild bird food suppliers.
Kinder to Birds and the Planet
Caring for wildlife means caring for the environment too. We’re always working to reduce our impact, from 100% plastic-free paper sacks on our larger seed sizes to refills available in-store. Everything on our website can also be bought from our shop, where a large part of what we offer is available in refill form.
